Today a bunch of our Sydney CBD personal trainers went through their weekly development, which was taken this week by senior coach Mark Carroll. All of our personal trainers in our Sydney CBD and Chatswood gym’s undergo development each week to ensure they stay at the top of the industry.
The team was taken through an advanced and intelligent workout with the goal of hypertrophy through heavy loads and time under tension, two variables which are rarely placed within the one training session. The workout was designed with five sets of a biceps and triceps tri-set which were performed one after the other, this allows for adequate rest of each specific muscle group and allowed the trainers to maintain the heavier loads over the five sets.
Each of the exercises within the session was specifically selected to overload each section of the strength curve. Overloading each section of the strength curve is an extremely underused variable when it comes to hypertrophy as this technique allows you to recruit and break down a far greater number of muscle fibres, which in turn allows for greater growth.
